Tokyo - Spring Trip 2023

After finishing my work on the Sony/Marvel animated film Spider-Man : Across The Spiderverse in late April, I took a much needed break and visited my hometown of Singapore for a few weeks, followed by 2 weeks in Tokyo.

It was my first time in Tokyo in 4 years since CoroNabe hit us, and during my time in the city I managed to connect with some really old friends/colleagues as well as making some new ones. I was also able to visit quite a few art exhibitions and events and I will write about them in the days to come.

During my absence the the art book reviews that I posted are mostly from my “surplus” stock and for the most part haven’t been new releases, and I apologize for that. But now that I’m back and re-stocked with books from Tokyo they will be, starting with Vol 2 of the AKIRA Layouts & Keyframes, which should be coming very soon.

Thank you for the support all this time as always !
