The Last Of Us Part II is easily one of the best games I’ve played in recent years. For me, the game excels in all quantifiable aspects; the technical excellence of the gameplay, the engaging story and the cinematic style of the visuals.
Just recently with the release of the PS5 Remastered version of the game, an in-depth making of documentary was released, and it is quite a sobering watch to remind gamers like me on just how much hard work and artistry goes into the making of games. Watch it below –
As someone who works in the animation/film visual effects industry, I can certainly relate to the issues and challenges faced by game artists; things like the crushing pressure to deliver, the fatigue and burn-out associated with working long hours for an extended period of time, as well as the toxic reactions of some of the more ill-informed fan-base that have little or no understanding on the sheer challenges of delivering a high quality product.

While nothing official has been announced, Naughty Dog’s head of creative Neil Druckmann has mentioned there is likely a final arc of the Last Of Us story that has yet to be told, and while it certainly won’t be releasing anytime soon, I look forward to it with much excitement.
I also recommend checking out my review for the art book for The Last Of Us Part II ( see cover below ), which showcases the stunning concept art created during the making of the game.
