Rango and Priscilla – Hot Toys Collectible Figures

Posted By yonghow on December 25th, 2010

Seasons Greetings ! I hope you folks are enjoy the festivities so far.

As of late word has been circulating on the net that Hot Toys, a very reputable Hong Kong based collectible merchandize maker has been tasked with the creation of Rango’s figures. True enough, at their recent 10th anniversary exhibition held in Tokyo, Japan they’ve unveiled 2 characters – Rango, the protagonist of the show and Priscilla, a supporting character : ( I’ve included screencaps from the Rango HD trailer for comparison )

Very exciting. I’m not really into figures, but for this I might have to make an exception. The release date hasn’t been set, do check out hottoys.jp for future updates. I can’t imagine Hot Toys going meshuga and releasing the entire ensemble of characters from the film, but oh what a sight that’ll be ! ( and dreadful woe for my wallet too )

Rango will be released in early March 2011, head here if you haven’t yet seen the trailers. Also check out this neat behind the scenes featurette :

it’s amazing how much i still like looking at toys. i am a grown-ass man, and i still can’t help but turn my head when i see something like that. i always see really cool stuff at the comic book store or online, and i’ve even bought a few, but i always wonder what the hell i am going to do with it then.

Ooh, I know Hot Toys! They make amazingly detailed and such beautiful figures! I saw their Resident Evil figures several months ago and trust me when I say this: Rango is in good hands! I’d love to have the Rango model on my shelf.

Zack – I know what you mean, I won’t have any space to display my figures too if I were a collector.

Hina – Can’t wait to get my hands on them. :]
