The Mobile Police Patlabor – AIR is the follow-up art book to character design Akemi Takada’s first Patlabor art book Pulsation. This book was first published in 1993 and has been out of print for a long time – I got a used copy during my recent time in Tokyo.
The book features lots of beautiful illustrations featuring the members of the Police Special Vehicle Section 2 like Noa, Kanuka, Kumegawa, Asuma and Gotoh. A foldout poster is also included.
Definitely one for Patlabor fans. The book has been out of print for the longest time but used copies can be found on Amazon for very low prices. I also highly recommend the other Patlabor art book Pulsation.

Kenouki – Nice ! I wish the publishers would compile the art work from these 2 books, gather up the others were never seen in an art book and release a new one. There’s a significant fanbase for Patlabor and Takada’s art work so I’m confident it would sell well.
