Yakitori delights in Miyoshi, Tokyo

Posted By yonghow on July 29th, 2008

A quick snack at a Yakitori ( 焼き鳥, Japanese grilled chicken sticks ) bar in Miyoshi after visiting the amazing Studio Ghibli Layout Exhibition. Its every bit as fantastic as the Kazuo Oga Background Art Exhibition, held at the same venue last year. I’ll try to write more about later this weekend.

Its nearing the peak of summer now and its hot as hell here in Tokyo, with temperatures climbing over 40 degrees celsius in some areas. I can’t wait for autumn to come soon enough !

I wonder what would happen if we tried setting up a satay store over there…

Damn, that stuff looks drool-inducing! I love yakitori, or ‘chicken on a stick’ as i call it!

Its been mighty hot in the UK too – the usual british post-heatwave thunderstorms have put an end to that now though…

I went to japan in september once, and the heat/ humidity was unbelievable, so i truly sympathise with you….

Every winter when it’s dark and cold I’m longing for the summer.
Every summer when the humidity is through the roof and it’s to hot to do anything useful, I can’t wait for the autumn to start…

sigh… anyone want to swap climates?

Tragic Comedy – Sounds like a good business plan !

Andy – Its hot as hell here alright, and that’s coming from someone who used to live in the tropics !

Harry D – Haha, be great if that’s possible. Still, I love the transition between seasons, whn you can feel change in the air.

I lived in tropics before too and Japan is hot as hell right now. Furthermore those summer events held on August takes hours to finished.(x__x)

My apartment is even hotter, at the top floor it is basically a oven at noon.
