I was not quite satisfied with the photographs of the cherry blossoms I took around the Meguro River, in part due to the less than ideal weather as well as the maddening crowds ( I’m aware I am a part of it ) that made the experience rather uncomfortable, so I decided to try my luck somewhere else. I recalled the last time I saw cherry blossoms in Tokyo more than a decade ago in Musashi-Seki Park, and it was really beautiful, so I decided to head down to that area again.
And the sights were amazing indeed ! I did not venture as far into the actual park itself like the last time but only stayed around the vicinity of Musashi-Seki station ( on the Seibu Shinjuku line ), but there were still plenty to see, and without any tourists crowds too. My photographs don’t quite do justice to the sheer lushness and exuberance of the blossoms when seen and experienced in person, but hopefully they still give you an idea of how spectacular the sights were.
For my next visit to Tokyo, I’m not sure if I would choose to go during the time of the cherry blossoms as the crowds in the city are just too much to handle, on top of the significantly higher lodging fees due to the increased demand, but if you are visiting during this time, I highly recommend this place for photographs, a nice, quiet little spot off the beaten track.

Yes, lovely photos. You really get a sense of how dense the blossoms are packed together. Pretty spectacular.
