Spring And Cherry Blossoms, Kamogawa, Kyoto.

Posted By yonghow on August 25th, 2013

Some select pictures of the Cherry Blossoms I saw in Kyoto during my visit earlier this year.

A slow, leisurely walk along the banks of the Kamo river, lined with a seemingly endless stretch of Cherry Blossom trees is one of the best ways to enjoy the beautiful sights that Kyoto has to offer in Spring.

(above & below) In one of the private gardens (I’ve since forgotten the name) we visited grew some of the most spectacular Shidarezakura (Weeping Cherry) I’ve ever seen. For the rest of that day there was a wash of pink over everything else I saw.

Autumn and Winter (I visited during Summer a good many years back) in Kyoto must be equally beautiful; I hope for the opportunity to come back again, soon.
