A giant Toriyama Akira billboard in Takadanobaba station, where I pass by during my commute to work in Polygon Pictures, Shirogane Takanawa. Here Arare-chan from Dr. Slump ( the comic series that kick-started “Dragonball” Toriyama Akira’s career ) plugs some Roots coffee and laments about oversleeping in the morning, a most fitting topic seeing how I am having trouble adjusting to the earlier working hours and waking up on time.
I’m barely pass the first week in Polygon and am already weary of the hour long journey to work, so I’m really considering moving back to Meguro, ( its really near to PP ) where I stayed during my first year in Tokyo and liked immensely.
Any of you folks dread travelling to and fro work too ? :I

Traveling is something I hated. When I started working in the gaming industrie, I had to travel 3+ hours a day. Thank god for freelancing and working from the home studio 🙂

andrea – Haha, I should have known you’ll be delighted by Arare-chan’s appearance. :] See you soon !
Tiny Red Man – Now its about 10 minute’s cycle to the station and then an hour by train, too long by my standards. :[
Harry D – I envy you !
one – Its in the Azabu area alright, only the nearest station is Shirogane. Azabu Station is just one stop away.

It’s 45 mins each way for me. As I stay at the first station, I always get a seat but going home is a real pain.
I find that if it’s definitely easier to get home after a film or a good find of DVDs. It’s my form of disconnection and I am not someone who carries an Ipod or a PSP.
It helps to dream and tune out that’s for sure …
