Back in Tokyo.

There’s never enough time when I am back visiting in Singapore. I was back for 10 days but it felt more like 3. Too many things to eat, too little time. Not early enough time to meet all my friends for that matter. Next time, really.

In between the delectable Pepper crabs and Barchomee I met old friends whom I haven’t seen for a whopping 8 years, some made keen and fairly accurate observations about the state of my conspicuous, rapidly expanding midriff ( i’m going to do something about that ). I also visited my old neighbourhood in AMK where I grew up and was genuinely surprised to see a familiar old man who sold me MASK toys when I was a kid still alive and kicking; he must be at least 90 years old or older.

I had a comfortable ride with Northwest as the seat next to me was empty on the way to Singapore and back. On the flight back to Tokyo there was a spectacular sea of clouds stretching as far as the eye can see, I gazed at this wonderful sight till it lulled me slowly to sleep.

ps I know I promised to post an article on Sword of the Stranger’s dvd box set; I’ll get to that very soon.
