I’ve been having a whole lot of fun immersing myself in the world of Horizon Forbidden West, the sequel to Guerrilla Games’ highly acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn (2017). Besides the actual game, I’ve been fooling around with the Photo Mode feature, which allows me to take virtual pictures of the game’s stunning environments, the graphics which are really showing off just how amazing the fidelity of future titles on Sony’s Playstation 5 platform can achieve.
There's some very hardcore hard surface modelling going on in #HorizonForbiddenWest . Good job, @Guerrilla model team ! The moody lighting here complements the intricate model very nicely too, kicking up all those lovely spec hits. pic.twitter.com/uvSG4j3VpA

Aloy is dwarfed by the remnants of a fallen Horus, a gargantuan Chariot class machine that the Old Ones fought against ( and lost ).

They told me how lovely it is up here in Tenakth country, but I had no idea…

If you have either a PS4 or PS5 but have not played either Horizon Zero Dawn or Forbidden West, I highly, highly recommend it; they’re truly some of the best games I’ve every played, period.
I am also eagerly awaiting the eventual art book release for the game ( check out the one for Horizon Zero Dawn ), which I am sure will blow me away with all the spectacular concept art created for Forbidden West. In the mean time, I’m going to dive back into the game !

I haven’t used the Photo Mode in HFW–yet. But seeing your photos…wow. I mean, I love the game and it’s impressive as hell, and it’s a worthy sequel.
