Freedom shares a spot on the anime  charts with Tekkon Kinkreet in a Tsutaya dvd store in Narita airport, Tokyo.

Its hard to imagine that a full week had gone by since I boarded the 5.30pm plane from Narita back to Singapore for Animation Nation 2007 last Friday, with everything whizzing past too quickly; seeing my family and friends, meeting great, talented folks at Animation Nation, Freedom’s screening on Saturday. I’m fairly sure the taste of that delicious Sambal stingray I ate at Makansutra with my friends just before the screening is still lingering in my mouth. Right after I touched down in Tokyo on Sunday afternoon it was a beeline back to the studio where I’ve been working straight 18 hour days ever since.

We are now pretty close to completion for Freedom 6 and I’m half dying from exhaustion, but Freedom’s Nissin Cup Noodle commercial number 9 is just making me really excited, with some really spiffy bike action, Akira style. I’ll post some pictures of it once it starts its run on local TV.

Freedom’s official webpage just posted the dvd release date for Freedom 6 ( 25th January 2008 ), and a there’s a brief mention of a “special episode”, with “details to be revealed next year.” Hmm…
