I was fairly amused upon arrival at work last week after spotting the Post-It note stuck outside our studio’s main entrance reading : “タケル出張中 – YN イベントへ 4末もどります。”, which translates as “Takeru is out on a business trip – event YN ( no idea what kind of event that is ), will be back in late April.”
Just in case you are wondering where the funny part is Takeru is the lead character of Freedom and in this case, the Otomo Katsuhiro illustrated life-size cardboard cut out that decorates our entrance. ( see below, in another picture I took last year ) , so his ability to embark on a business trip is quite a remarkable feat. I guess he must be thrilled to see the sights.
We’ve been working 18 hour weeks and I only just finished lighting the final shot for Freedom Seven, but there’s still a ton of touch up shots waiting. While I can’t wait for all this work to be finally done so I can get some decent rest, I think I will be missing Takeru quite a bit when it finally is over.

Whoever came up with the sticky note idea is a genius.

I’m always impressed by that studio access…
If all that display stuff is a mess at the studio… don’t worry about it, I can handle it!
