Freedom Project – Takeru’s Hoverbike, Lego Style.

Posted By yonghow on August 31st, 2007

Takeru’s maglev hoverbike from Freedom.

Now…what would one built with Lego look like ?

I was all smiles when I saw this one. Made by the talented folks from Brickshelf, the built is simple and basic, but it captures the essence of Otomo’s original design beautifully.

Lego must be one of the most innovative toys ever invented. I’ve had very fond memories building all sorts of stuff from X-wing fighters to the Decepticons Constructicons and Getter Robos. The word “Lego” comes from Danish leg godt which translates to “play well” – they couldn’t have chosen a better name.

Check out this old post for the various racing vehicles in Freedom.

Nicola – We had a great time with Lego, no ?

Orion – Me too ! That would be quite a challenge indeed ! Murata’s designs on Lego…they are going to have a hard time getting the curves right.

CMWilly – Yeah ! I love the SAC Tachikomas !

Wow more mecha in lego forms.

I still think the best mecha in lego form is the Evangelion one,and it comes together with 3 lego people of the 3 chosen children.

Talking about Evangelion, have you watch The Rebuild of Evangelion? You should if you have not ^^

Last time, I can’t tell the difference between Playmobil and Lego. But Playmobil X Lego is a pretty fun combination.

yonghow

tragic comedy – Yeah ! I remember that happening too ! Especially the new bricks.

double – I saw the Lego EV at clockwork Machina!, and it looks swell alright. Rebirth started screening here 2 days ago, but I haven’t had time to catch it yet. Soon !

Zero – Playmobil is so nostalgic ! Haha.
