Freedom poster はじめての地球

Posted By yonghow on August 13th, 2007

Design for one of two new Freedom posters to be given away as prizes in an upcoming Nissin Cup Noodle Campaign. This is actually a scene appearing in Freedom 4, where Takeru says ” やっぱり外で食ってうまいよな!” – which roughly translates as “It ( Ramen ) just taste better outdoors !” Whatever that means.

Anyway, you probably won’t notice this, but if you are to examine the poster again in detail you might notice that Takeru’s noodle cup is just gargantuan ! Sure, we have 大盛り ( jumbo ) sized cup ramen here in Tokyo, but that’s really pushing it. A correctly sized cup would have looked tiny in Takeru’s hands, so I figured the modellers scaled that up upon request from Nissin.

Wow, that seriously is a huge cup. It’s nearly the size of his head! That’s more like an American proportion of meals…
I guess they did it just as a visual effect so that the cup’s more noticeable. I will be surprised if Nissin seriously sells such a large one.

I hope they dispose of the container properly if they’re going to eat it outside though :p

wah….blatant product placement. and it’s been given a “Marlboro” feel to it. Sunset, desert-scape, a man and his horse vehicle, his best friend and a giant cup of Seafood Curry Nissin. The size is like 7-Eleven’s Big Gulp.

Japan don’t have seafood curry flavour I bet. Ok…I’m dead unsure.

w – As far as I remember the 大盛 sized cup ramen here is slightly bigger than the one we have in Singapore. Its also made of combustible bio-degradable material – the Japanese are pretty environment conscious.

jackson – Here we have both seafood and curry, but not together. What we don’t have is Laksa.
