(above) Billboard of Transformers : Dark Of The Moon I spotted while on my Paris trip, near my hotel in Montparnasse.
And so Dark Of The Moon is finally showing in a gazillion cinemas worldwide, have you guys seen it ? Tell me what you think about the CG and visual effects. The story and plot line / raging debate on choice of female lead is not under discussion.
I actually dozed off a couple of times throughout the film ( its 2.5 hrs… ) and missed fairly big chunks, including a couple of shots I spent weeks working on. ( ie the drive up to the Xantium spacecraft and some battle sequences near the end with Dino transforming. See shot at 0:38 in clip below. ) I’m sure the blu-ray will be out in a couple of months though.
I think the sequence where Shockwave’s tentacle pet tears up the building was jaw-droppingly good. I hope ILM get at least a nomination for best visual effects in the upcoming Academy Awards.

There was a moment that I almost dozed off but I fought because I shouldn’t! Man, the CG and visual effects are absofreakingly stunning. I couldn’t help but let out a few (okay, many) whoa’s, ooh’s, sh*t’s, and all those verbal manifestations of awe during the action/transformation scenes.

Just saw it on opening day here Japan…..effects were awesome and I guess the 3-D gimmick was cool, but didn’t feel necessary to me at least.
Overall, the movie was what I’d hoped: fun! I love Transformers….not expecting Shakespeare or anything!
And even though the credits zipped by at a quick pace, I caught your name man! VONG YONGHOW up on the screen in 3-D….really cool! Nice job!!

onurg – Haha, at least the visuals were nice I hope ?
Hunter – Glad you enjoyed it !
Josh – Thanks for catching my name ! :] I think it was easier to spot because it was right at the very bottom of that big chunk of names.
