B.P.R.D ( Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense ) is the spin-off comic series from Mike Mignola’s Hellboy, taking place in the same expanded universe as the organization’s “enhanced” agents like Liz Sherman, Abe Sapien and Johann Krauss battle the Ogdru Jahad that first appeared in the Hellboy comics.

This volume is the first hard cover edition of the Hell On Earth arc and collects the first three trade paperback volumes of the B.P.R.D Hell on Earth series (New World, Gods and Monsters, and Russia) as well as an expanded sketch book section.

The art work in this volume is covered mostly by Guy Davis ( a long time creative collaborator of Guillermo del Toro ) and Tyler Crook, with a small segment by Duncan Fegredo.

Mike Mignola’s Hellboy universe is a rich and fascinating world to explore, and the B.P.R.D series is an excellent way to discover it. I also highly recommend the earlier volumes that cover the Plague Of Frogs arc.
