A trailer for the first (of two) sequels to the Rurouni Kenshin film “Kyoto Inferno” has just been released, check it out below :
It seems Kenshin faces not just 1 but 3 highly skilled opponents in the two sequels, one of them played by actor Yusuke Iseya, ( Casshern, Sukiyaki Western Django ) so I’m really looking forward to the sword fight sequences in the film.
The first sequel is set for a domestic release date on August 1st 2014, and the 2nd film about a month later on the 13th Of September.

I adored the first. It was a pleasant surprise… the fight scenes were good, the CGI was good. Hopefully, this one won’t abandon the high level of intense, believable action in favor of melodrama.

I enjoyed the first film as well, although there were some moments of silliness/comedy that I feel didn’t fit well into the pace/mood of the film.
Hoping the 2 sequels will be as good, if not better.
