Getting goosebumps watching the first trailer for Steven Spielberg’s upcoming fantasy film The BFG ( Big Friendly Giant. I think ? ), based on the 1982 children’s book written by Roald Dahl. Check it out below :
I love the fairy tale/fantasy feel of the visuals, and the rousing soundtrack definitely adds to the mood. VFX is by Weta Digital. Really looking forward to this one ( July 1st ).

I have super high hopes for this, loved “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of The Unicorn”, and I reference Tintin because that movie felt like “classic” Spielberg, the wondrous family friendly type. and of course I love Roald Dahl, one of my 2 favorite authors from my childhood (the other weirdly being Stephen King)

The BFG really resembles the Quentin Blake illustrations. I think all the Roald Dahl books turned into movies are a bit too much like starter horror flicks for the under-10 age group though… nightmare-inducing things are always happening to children in his universe.
Are you visiting Singapore, by any chance? I think I saw you (or a doppelganger!) at the Bishan Park MacDonald’s earlier tonight. Was walking my dog past the side entrance.
