Santa Lilio Sangre (緋いユリ) is an art book by Japanese illustrator Ayami Kojima. She is most renowned for designing the characters in the Konami video game Castlevania, and has also illustrated many novel art covers, in particular those by the Japanese sci-fi/horror writer Kikuchi Hideyuki ( Vampire Hunter D, Wicked City and more ).

This art book ( released in 2010 ) features a huge collection of her illustrations, over 200 pages of art showcasing more than a decade of her portfolio. Angelic figures are a recurring subject in many of her pieces, some of which resemble paintings from the Renaissance era of Western art.

Ayami Kojima’s artwork are highly dramatic, her visual composition elaborate, and always executed with stunning detail and color. This hard cover volume is an excellent collection of her finest work. Recommended.
