Albert Moore (Phaidon) Art Book

Albert Moore (1841 – 1893) was an English painter most well known for his depictions of the “idealized female beauty”, often featuring women adorned in flowing, elaborate drapery. He was one of the prominent figures during the Victorian era of painting that included artists like Alma-Tadema, William Waterhouse and the Pre-Raphaelites.

This art book by Phaidon Press features close to 200 illustrations ( 135 colored ) by the artist, spread across 240 pages.

Albert Moore is one of the artists from the Victoria era that I know relatively little about, so this book is a good starting point for me to learn more about his work. Recommended.
