A short teaser for the upcoming full CG animated film Gantz:O, based on the hugely popular manga series by Oku Hiroya :

Some of the fight scenes immediately brings to mind GDT’s Pacific Rim, which itself is based on the Japanese Kaiju film genre – the creative influences have come full circle, it seems.

I actually enjoyed some of the action sequences in the 2 live-action Gantz films a couple of years back, and I look forward to seeing this as well. Gantz:O will be released in Japan in October 2016.
