Japanese Beauty is a stunning art book by Seiichi Hayashi featuring beautiful illustrations of graceful women, often adorned in traditional Japanese costumes. The artist’s work is a great example of beautiful Nihonga ( traditional Japanese painting ). In Japan, Seiichi’s illustration is also used by Lotte for the plum candy Koume.
Japanese Beauty is a most apt name for this art book, and I was quickly smitten by the simple but yet graceful illustrations. Highly recommended.
