Wood scraps

Posted By yonghow on December 4th, 2007

Weathered wooden planks stacked to the brim on a truck, perhaps on the way to a recycling centre. I think I have a photographic fetish for wood. Inspecting all this timber close-up I was briefly reminded of that intense chase scene between Al Pacino and Robbin Williams in the log factory in Christopher Nolan’s Insomnia, one of my favourite films of all time. Gotta watch it again soon.

Autumn’s in full bloom here in Tokyo and the falling leaves are casting the streets in an amazing sheet of bright yellow. I hope I have the time to go take some pictures.

I guess wood makes for interesting photography cos they have very vivid textures unique to each.

Nice shots, btw. Somehow reminded me of “Dark City”, what with the way they look like overhead shots of twisted skyscrapers.

Good stock photography.

They also seem like they would make for nice desktop backgrounds. 🙂

pk – Ah, Dark City. Loved the art direction, not to mention Jennifer Connelly. :]

Zero – Evil.

Orion – Maybe I should try selling them to Corbis ? :p

tragic comedy – Haha ! A Cat 1 saved me from trench digging during my time. Bliss !
