This Evangelion CG short has been making the rounds on my tweeter feed and garnering lots of accolades. Titled “Another Impact”, the short is directed by Aramaki Shinji (Appleseed) and is one of the animated shorts available from the Anima(tor)’s Expo site.

The overall quality of the short film is excellent, with some striking poses beautifully composed, and I definitely love the feeling of the EVA unit’s gargantuan weight and momentum conveyed by the animators – the vibe is quite consistent with the 2D animation from the Rebuild Of Evangelion animated films.
