It has been an unusually mild winter this year in Vancouver because of El Nino, and as such there would be no white Christmas this year unfortunately. The photo above is the giant Christmas tree that is put up in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery every year, and it looks great even without any snow.

Thank you for so much for visiting Halcyon Realms in 2023. The year has been very creatively fulfilling as I got to work on Spider-Man : Across The Spiderverse, and the film is right now picking up so many awards and nominations I can no longer keep track. The bigger ones are of course the best animated film categories for the Golden Globes as well as the Oscars, and the results will be out around February next year. I am also in the midst of completing VFX work for an upcoming live-action project which will be released later in 2024.

For the upcoming Xmas/NY break I will of course be writing up my annual Favorite Art Books Of The Year post, which will be coming very soon. Go here to see my favorites list from the past years.
