Sayama Skies After Typhoon No.9

During my stay in Tokyo a couple of months back I was caught in the path of a powerful typhoon ( Designation No.9, or Mindulle ) as it made it’s way up north towards Hokkaido. I was stuck indoors for the whole day but as the fury of the typhoon passed us by the skies over Sayama put up a spectacular display of light and cloudscape as the day ended, a beautiful silver lining.

(above & below) The tiny cone you see in the far distant near the center of the photographs is actually Mount Fuji…it looks quite a bit bigger in person. 😛

Wow what awesome color! I love your photography. You have an excellent eye. Understand what you mean about Mount Fuji however this photograph still served justice to those afar. Thank you for these.

beautiful photos! i love taking pictures of the sky as well but my ipad doesnt capture the range of colors my eyes see:(
i need to invest in a proper camera
