“Manga Erotics f” is a bi-monthly comic collection of short manga centered on stories with adult/erotic themes, targeted at young adults and women. This issue (vol 81) features a special section on manga artist Samurai Hiroaki (Blade Of The Immortal).
(above) The article comes with several of Samura’s as yet unpublished illustrations, possibly from an upcoming art book. (below) An illustration of Morrigan from Capcom’s Vampire Hunter fighting game. Samura-san lists Morrigan as one of his 7 favourite/inspirational female characters.
(above) A short manga segment by the artist. It has been hard to fill the void left by the ending of Blade Of The Immortal, and I don’t think his new manga Beageruta will be as popular as Blade.
Note : The feature on Samura covers only about 15% of the manga. The rest of the book features manga by other artists.

I love this guy, and i will continue to buy pretty much everything he releases, but I’ve still always been disappointed by most of his work outside of Blade Of The Immortal. Somehow it just doesn’t look quite as polished; I’m speaking specifically about his sequential art, as his cover and frontispiece illustrations are always incredible and never cease to amaze me.

Zack – I definitely agree about the superb quality of his Immortal covers; still hoping for an updated edition of his art book to include all covers from the series.
