Sisterhood is a delightful collection of illustrations by the popular Hong Kong based cartoonist Little Thunder, with over 50 thousand followers on Instagram at the time of writing. The artist has garnered a huge following in Japan as well ( her work is also featured in Illustration 2020 ), and this is her first art book published in Japanese, with over 100 pieces of art work spread across 200 pages.

I myself find it hard to define or nail down why her art work exudes a certain kind of charm, but there is a sense of carefree nature in her drawings devoid of commercialism, and is quite distinctive from most of the Japanese illustration work I am familiar with. A breath of fresh air.

Little Thunder is a fascinating illustrator and I am only beginning to explore her huge portfolio of work, but I definitely look forward to seeing more. This art book is an excellent place to start.
