MILESHIPS - A Narrative Art Book Ian McQue

Mileship is an upcoming narrative art book by English illustrator Ian McQue, a well established name in the games/film/animation industry whose credits including concept art work for several Starwars films, Mortal Engines, the Spiderverse animated films and more. I’ve been a long time fan of the artist and so had little hesitation to back the Kickstarter project once I heard about it, for I know that the art book delivered will surely be quality.

I remember this author.
In the past were produced and sold many resin “garage kit” of models of some of his floating ships, 1/35 scale.
I was fashinated by the idea, but I never purchased anyone due to the expensive delivery costs + custom taxes.
I think that at least two type of ships were released, plus some accessories like the “sailors” figures to be installed.
In the following link there are photos of the first batch of production.
Now the company (Its name was Industria Mechanika and was specialized in niche garage kit) doesn’t exist anymore, but the web is still full of the photos of the models kits:

I discovered this author many years ago, since some of his “floating ships” became resin kits models to be assembled.
Two types of ships were released (more than ten years ago), both in 1/35 scale: REMORA (a bigger one) and WALDO (a smaller one).
Now are not anymore on sale, since the garage kit manufacturer has closed, but if you search in the web you will surely find many photos of them.
This is an author who certainly inspires…
