Famed Japanese concept/manga artist Katsuya Terada ( Monkey King, Blood The Last Vampire ) explores a personal world of eroticism in his latest art book Erotic Engineering, a collection of sexually charged illustrations featuring well, lots of tastefully drawn women in various stages of undress.
The release of this book is timed in conjunction with the art exhibition “Pussycat ! Kill ! Kill ! Kill !”, which features Terada’s art work together with two of his contemporaries in the genre, Rockin’ Jellybean ( who also released his own art book recently, read review here ), and Hajime Sorayama, a veteran of SM/bondage illustrations ( read the review for his art book Relativision ).
Many of the illustrations come with short captions (in both Japanese & English language), musings by the artist on the subject matter when he was painting them. An interesting bit of trivia in a closing note at the end of the book – Terada beginnings into erotic illustrations was a self discovered solution driven by the need and scarcity of such images as a kid growing up.

A beautifully illustrated collection of erotic art work by one of the best in the field. Highly recommended.

Awesome artwork, so detailed!!
I’m thinking on getting this book after this review.
But why Terada insist with the small pages?

Kenouki – The book is about 30cm by 21cm, so it’s not that small. 😛 Was that what you meant ?
fei – It’ll be worth it. :]

By the way, I am very curious that would this book be returned or hold because of its erotic content? I am shipping it and other books I saw on your recommendation list, I am a little bit paranoid that all of the books would be hold or returned because of this one. Does this ever happen to you at all?
