Wonder Woman: The Art and Making of the Film is a detailed and comprehensive art book documenting the creative journey behind the cinematic reboot of DC comics’ most iconic Superheroine. There is a nice balance of contents split between the illustrated concept art pieces, ranging from costume and set designs, sketches and storyboards to the on set photography and film stills.

A good portion of the book is dedicated to the concept art and visual design/development of Diana’s birthplace Themyscira, as well as the look of the Amazonian warriors. There are some stunning illustrations of Themyscira and the grand throne room is remarkably impressive, including the realized version in the actual film.

(above) The art book also includes a nice piece of movie memorabilia – a replica of the photo negative first revealed in Batman VS Superman : The Dawn Of Justice film, housed in an envelope on the back cover.

A perfect visual companion to the excellent Wonder Woman film directed by Patty Jenkins. Recommended.
