STEP is a brand new art book by veteran Japanese illustrator Eguchi Hisashi, who has been working in the manga/illustration industry for 40 years. The book contains all brand new art work, some 150 pieces created since 2015.

Eguchi Hisashi’s distinctive art style is always easy to spot; with art work/characters rendered in flat, simple colors but always with expressive facial expressions, especially the eyes. His work has only gotten better over the years.

The artist’s clean, beautiful line work and simple, stylish characters that capture your attention are a few of the reasons I love his work. This was an easy purchase for me, and I highly recommend it.
