Pone is the first art book by Japanese illustrator/manga artist Demizu Posuka ( a nickname ), known for her art work in the Weekly Shonen Jump manga The Promised Neverland. The artist certainly has a penchant for deep blue hues and aquatic themes, perhaps mirrored by the name Demizu (出水), meaning flood/inundation.
This art book showcases a big collection of Posuka’s art works, almost 200 pages of beautifully rendered images.
I’m very partial to the artist’s highly attuned color sense, in particular the ones rendered in rich blue tones. Recommended.
