Musubi is an art book by Kyoto based Japanese illustrator/manga artist Munku Mutsuki. This is her first published work, featuring some 150 pieces of illustrations, both colored and monochrome ( pencil drawings ). Munku specializes in illustrations of Japanese period costumes and themes, and the images found in the book fully show off her talent to great effect.
(above) An illustration for the manga Onmyouji, a popular Japanese manga/movie/game franchise based on historical Heian period priests who apparently had the powers of magic and divination.
Munku Mutsuki’s beautiful colored illustrations are spellbinding to look at, but I find myself even more amazed by her intricate and most impressive pencil drawings, as seen in some of the images above; the art book comes recommended.

She reminds me of Sumeragi Natsuki; some of them I do find really unique & very Asian, while one could easily find some contemporary characteristics from most of her illustrations – whether it’s how the human figures are anime-ish, or it tends to be a showcase of manga characters than depiction of environments. Otherwise her use of colors & lines are really sensible.
