Crimson Peak – The Art Of Darkness is the official art/making of book for Guillermo Del Toro’s gothic horor/romance film Crimson Peak.

The book delves into the creation of the film’s painstakingly detailed and elaborate sets, as well as the sumptuous costumes and creature designs for the numerous supernatural beings appearing in the movie. Onset and production photographs are plentiful, as well as conceptual sketches by Guillermo himself.

(above & below) The gorgeous cinematography by Dan Laustsen is further accentuated by the incredibly beautiful set of Allerdale Hall, the suitably dilapidated state of the mansion providing ample opportunity to layer on more details for added realism.
