Bijin-Ga Borderless is a collection of gorgeously illustrated female beauties ( the word Bijin meaning ‘beautiful woman’ and Ga ‘painting/art’ ), featuring art work from 19 different artists spread across 136 pages.

The theme and format of this book is largely similar to a previous art book I reviewed, Bijin Zukushi, but the latter features only Nihonga ( traditional Japanese painting styles ) illustrations, and this book showcases a wider usage of artistic media ( oil, watercolor, acrylic painting, manga and more ).
