The Art Of The Adventures Of TinTin is a splendid collection of the voluminous art work created for the animated film, directed by Steven Spielberg and adapted from the hugely popular comic series by Hergé.

The book covers how the look of the CG animated film is derived from the original comic, visual development of the characters, props, sets and more, all complemented by plenty of images and art work.

(above & below) I particularly enjoy the concept artists’ skillful interpretations of the original images found in the comic, and also the various cover art.

(above & below) The contents of the book feature minimal images of the final CG renders, instead dedicating most of the pages to the concept art used to create them.

Plenty of fantastic concept art from behind the film, housed in a sturdy hard cover volume. Recommended.
