My respect for Valve Software grows with every new game they release – the most recent one been Portal 2. I don’t play games all that often anymore, but Portal 2 looked so good I just had to try it – and was hugely rewarded. The game is intelligent and witty, the concept, graphics and design all top notch. When you’re unable to solve a puzzle to get to the next level however, it can be potentially nerve-wrecking, but hey, its all part of the challenge.
Take a look at some of the sweet concept art work created for the game below :
Sure, great concept art will get you halfway there, but the brilliant valve team managed to very faithfully translate these art work into the actual gameplay, and the final product is really close to what you see in the pictures above. ( you’ll have to play the game to gain full appreciation. )
If there’s any complaint I have, its only that the game-play was too short. Valve has a big winner on their hands and I hope Portal 3 is well on the way.
You can get Portal 2 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Mac OS/Windows from Amazon below, or digital delivery if you are on Steam.
