The Art Of Zootopia explores the making of Disney’s delightful animated film Zootopia, with plenty of great concept art including character designs of the huge myriad of animals appearing in the movie, the rich and colorful environments, props, vehicles, color scripts for the film and more.
Zootopia really surprised me. There are just so many animated films out there featuring anthropomorphic animals that I was convinced not even Disney could create something wholly refreshing, but I was wrong.
This art book is a great companion to one of Disney’s best animated films in recent years. Recommended.

The work they put into a film like this is absolutely fascinating and inspiring. What would the world be like without artist and draftsmen

Am I the only one who’s seen that expression in the bottom left corner of the first image before? I think it was from Dean McCoppin in The Iron Giant. It might have been Hogarth.
