Released to critical acclaim, Arcane (2021) is one of the most spectacular looking TV series I’ve ever seen, with top marks for its animation quality, story, world-building, action sequences, characters, emotional weight, music and voice acting; quite a mouthful ! The animation studio Fortiche Productions have really outdone themselves.
This new documentary series titled Arcane: Bridging the Rift (part 1) by Riot games explore the making and genesis of this spectacular animation series through interviews with key creative personnel and artists. Watch it below –
Having worked on Marvel/Sony’s Into The Spiderverse and now on the sequel, I have some idea of just how much work is required to create a splendidly high-quality series like Arcane, and I tip my hat to all the amazing artists working on the show. I’m really looking forward to season 2, which is scheduled to be released in late 2022.

I loved Arcane too! (although I think that’s true for most fans of animation) I wonder how likely it is that we’ll someday see an Art of Arcane book? That would be a day one purchase for me.

Imagine being a kid during this stage of visual dazzling. Some of us was dazzled with just 5 point Kenner articulated toys, stop puppet Xmas specials we look forward to along with A Charlie Brown Christmas and a clay figurine named Mr. Bill on Saturday Night Live lol. Today is absolutely fulfilling and fuels the imagination beyond and thankful to still have the child at heart spirit. Thank you for sharing this one @yonghow

@Coffee: You read my mind! I loved the animation in the series, and yep, I’m looking out for an artbook.
@yonghow: Thanks for posting this! Also, in upcoming artbook news–Udon is going to publish an artbook this fall featuring the Macross artwork of Hidetaka Tenjin! It will be the first time Tenjin’s artwork will be officially released in the US–and it’s perfect for the 40th anniversary of Macross.

I won’t lie, I saw the thumbnail and immediately hoped for an art book announcement.
Super enjoyed the series. I even had a chance to go to the Secret Cinema event in Los Angeles. It was so cool be immersed like that.
