Shiseido’s latest Maquillage billboards take over the underpass near Shinjuku’s Marunouchi station, Tokyo. With hundreds of thousands of commuters passing through every day, this stretch of underground walkway is an advertising hotspot – check out this older Kanebo ad, MGS – Guns of the Patriots launch, Kimura Takuya selling Nissin Cup Noodles, and Freedom Project.
With the exception of Pace Wu ( Taiwanese model, girl on extreme right in picture above ) that I’ve never seen before, the rest of the ladies are pretty much household names here in Japan.
Ebihara Yuri is probably the most famous fashion model in Japan, and spokesperon for McDonald’s Ebi ( Shrimp ) burger.
Ueno Juri, who rose to fame after playing the amiable, jazz loving Tomoko in Swing Girls.
Anna Tsuchiya, who is half Japanese, half Russian-American, played the lead in Ninagawa Mika’s opulent period film Sakuran.
Shinohara Ryoko is a popular TV and film actress, appearing as a gun toting detective in Unfair (above).

I didn’t know Ueno Juri was a model…She surely had risen to fame with nifty performances in Nodame Cantabile and then as the tomboy in Last Friends
