A new trailer for the live-action adaptation of of Isayama Hajime’s cult hit manga Attack On Titan ( Shingeki No Kyojin ) has just been released, featuring more footages of the Colossal Titan, a first look at the Rogue Titan, and many more actions scenes featuring the Survey Corps in action. My initial impression is that the generic titans performed by human actors ( albeit in heavy prosthetics and make-up ) cannot fully realize the ponderous movement and scale of such massive beings. Perhaps budgetary issues prevented a full CG approach for the portrayal of all Titans.

I’m hoping the film gets enough traction to green-light a US remake which would allow for bigger production and VFX budgets.
