The Work Of a Card Game Illustrator features the art work of Takayama Toshiaki, known for his illustrations on card games like Duel Masters, Sengoku Taisen, Lord Of Vermilion and more. I actually recommended this art book back in 2014, but I only acquired it recently after chancing on a cheap copy at a BookOff store in Tokyo.

The art book not only showcases the artist’s illustrations but also includes some instructional tutorials/tips on digital painting techniques as well as game character design.

An interesting insight into the work of a card game illustrator, complete with a fantastic collection of the artist’s beautiful illustrations.

I also recommend Applibot’s Legend Of Monsters card game art book.
