I already own several excellent books on the making of the Alien films like Alien The Archive and Aliens – The Set Photography just to name a few, but flipping through this book I’m seeing plenty of new material for the first time, like detailed concept drawings of the APC ( armored personnel carrier ), the xenomorph and Alien Queen, storyboards of the dropship’s descent down onto Archeron ( LV426 ) as well as many of the on set photographs.
There’s so much amazing content in this huge book that it’s going take a while for me to pore through everything, but I’m definitely looking forward to it. This is a perfect companion to the author’s The Making Of Alien, and gets my highest recommendations.

Wow…looks like an amazing book (but sadly, no more room on my bookshelf!) and worth the purchase.
Speaking of books related to the ALIEN franchise, I highly recommend ALIEN: THE BLUEPRINTS, which features blueprints and cutaways for many of the ships and vehicles from the films, such as the Nostromo, the Sulaco, the Dropship, and the Prometheus.
