Bijinga Zukushi 2 – Japanese Beauties Art Book Review

Bijinga Zukushi 2 (美人画づくし弐) is a follow-up volume to the original Bijinga Zukushi art book released in 2016. The series showcases the “Bijinga” ( art work featuring beautiful women ) genre and the author is Ikenaga Yasunari, himself a Nihonga artist with the published art book One Hundred Nights Of Bliss.

The book showcases the art work of 18 different artists using various different media, spread across 136 pages. Many of the artists featured are new to me and I am looking forward to seeing more of their art work/art books.

A perfect companion book to the first Bijinga Zukushi art book and a great introduction for anyone who are new to Nihonga ( traditional Japanese painting ), with a splendid collection of beautiful art ( and women ). Highly recommended.

I also suggest checking out the author’s (Ikenaga Yasunari) art book One Hundred Nights Of Bliss, as well as Bijinga Borderless.
