These recent years the comics art and illustration scene has seen the prolific and meteoric rise of creators from Asia, in particular China and Korea. Drawing inspiration from Japanese manga and anime, but at the same time developing their own unique style, these artists have carved out a strong niche for themselves with amazingly high quality art.
This art book by Japanese publisher PIE showcases 46 outstanding Asian artists and illustrators from countries like Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and China. The cover art is illustrated by Singapore based artist Guweiz, who has recently released an art book of his own; watch out for my review coming very soon.
