Tiger & Bunny is a 2011 anime series produced by Sunrise, with direction by Sato Keiichi (Karas), and character design by Katsura Masakazu (Video Girl Ai). This art book compiles both the genga and rough character illustration and sketches used for the series.

I gotta admit I’ve yet to watch the series ( I actually have little time to watch any anime series these days; is Tiger & Bunny good ? ), but I do like the Katsura Masakazu’s artwork, so this purchase was prompt once I flipped through the book. I think one of the strongest and most unique merits of Japanese character design is their ability to incorporate elements from their rich history and culture, drawing on motifs dating back to the days of feudal Japan.

Definitely worth picking up if you’re a fan of Masakazu-san’s art work. Recommended.
