The Kingdom of Dreams & Madness Ghibli Blu-ray Details 夢と狂気の王国

The Kingdom of Dreams & Madness ( 夢と狂気の王国 Yume To Kyoki No Oukoku ), a documentary on Studio Ghibli’s two founding directors Miyazaki Hayao & Isao Takahata will be released on blu-ray/dvd on May 21st 2014.

The documentary ( directed by Japanese filmmaker Mami Sunada ) shows us the lives of the 2 directors over the span of a year during the production of their 2 animated films, Kaze Tachinu ( The Wind Rises ) and Kaguyahime ( Princess Kaguya ).

And yes, the blu-ray comes with English subtitles. Check out the trailer below for a taste :

Yes, the dvd verison also comes with English subtitles. :]

Great! Time to re-watch the making of Mononoke Hime and Omohide Poro Poro while waiting for this. :]

“This time, I mean it / I’m serious.” Haha. Another thing I love most about Miyazaki besides his inventive wisdom is his wit and humor. And seeing him, Takahata, and Suzuki together is always a treat because they have such great creative chemistry. Cannot wait for this documentary. Is there also a good documentary of Satoshi that you can recommend?
