A compilation of cloud pictures I’ve taken over the years…I’m fascinated by clouds.

(above) A very distant Mount Fuji ( I think ) breaks the monotony of the landscape during one of my flights back to Tokyo. It was close to sunset and as I recall the scene was so breathtakingly beautiful and surreal I had tears in my eyes. Remember the scene in Robert Zemeckis’s Contact where Ellie travels to Vega and sees the star system for the first time ? Yep, it felt something like that.

(below) This was actually on the same flight about 4 hours earlier – those skies had the most incredible, intense blues I have ever seen. ( I did some minute leveling in Photoshop but the original colors are untouched. ) And this was taken with my cheap Nikon D40 camera and and even cheaper zoom lens, plus I was behind a non too particularly clean plane window. ( two windows actually, an interior and an exterior one. )
