Tokyo Cityscape, Yutenji.

…continued from this earlier post.

(below) Hatsumode’s not quite complete without some good food to go with it. Decked out around the premises of Ryusenji were makeshift stores selling Takoyaki (octopus balls), Yakitori and other tasty snacks.



(below) Those are some Kaiju-sized octupus balls !


(above) My time machine works ! A hair salon straight out of the 70s, still doing well it seems (the store signage, not so much).


(above & below) A curiously decorated building housing a cafe as we entered into the Yutenji area, where Takeshi and Kojima used to live.



(above) A peaceful Jinja close to Yutenji temple ( which gave the Yutenji area it’s name ).


(above) You know you’ve entered the Shibuya area once you start to see graffiti all over the place. Shibuya is like a giant canvas for graffiti artists. See this older post.
